SBR Fast Cure Membrane

GRIPSET 38FC is a next generation, water based, fast curing, fibre reinforced SBR latex membrane designed for waterproofing applications to internal and external areas that will be covered over with toppings, tile beds or overlay finishes Gripset 38FC utilises the latest in fast cure technology, enabling rapid recoat and tile over times. Flexible, elastomeric and with low water vapour transmission properties, Gripset 38FC is a high performance waterproofing solution for domestic and commercial projects with time constraints that require fast turnaround times 


• Water based, solvent free, non-toxic and non-flammable

• Fast curing, able to be tiled over after only 4 hours

• Fibre reinforced for enhanced tensile strength and workability

• Can be flood tested after only 24 hours

• Waterproof with the ability to withstand continuously wet environments and ponding without re-emulsifying

• Flexible & elastomeric, accommodating normal substrate movement

• Compatible with tile finishes, concrete, render and masonry toppings

• Fast turnaround time, waterproofing and tiling applications can be completed within one day

• Durable and tough seamless finish

• Excellent vapour barrier & low water vapour transmission properties

• Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray unit on horizontal and vertical surfaces

• Compliant to AS 4858 and AS4654.1 for internal and external wet areas 

Uses

• Internal wet areas, bathrooms, laundries and tiled areas

• External wet areas balconies, decks, podiums, terrace floors

• Roofs and rooftop terraces to be covered over with screeds and toppings

• Sandwiching between existing and new concrete substrates

• Liquid vapour barrier between toppings and slabs

• General tiled areas to prevent moisture ingress 

Substrates

• Concrete, render and masonry

• Compressed fibre cement sheeting and plasterboard

• Wet area timber sheeting and external grade plywood

• Aerated concrete panels and blocks

Coverage
• Gripset 38FC is to be installed in line with the current edition, relevant volume and sections of the NCC (National Construction Code of Australia) pertaining to internal, external and general waterproofing applications within the scope of use for the product • Product is to be applied by brush or medium nap roller • Apply a minimum of 2 coats at a total minimum coverage of 1.5 litres/m² • Minimum dried film thickness is 1mm • Apply subsequent coats in different directions to the previous coat. • A wet film gauge should be used to regulate the correct coverage of each coat. 

Dry Times
Re-coat: 1 hour Tiling/ toppings: 4 hours Flood test: 24 hours Important: Drying times are based on ambient temperatures @ 23°C and 50% RH. Drying times may vary depending on ambient/surface temperatures, humidity, and substrate porosity. Drying/curing times will be extended in cooler conditions and periods of high relative humidity
